## Licensure

Refuge House operates as a licensed Child-Placing Agency (CPA) under **HHSC Child Care Regulation (CCR)**:

- **Refuge House, Inc.** — Permit **859955** (Dallas)
- **Refuge House San Antonio, Inc.** — Permit **891410** (San Antonio)

Both entities operate in good standing under 26 TAC Chapter 749 Minimum Standards and the DFPS 24-Hour Residential Child Care contract, and are credentialed/onboarded with their respective SSCC networks (2INgage, 4Kids4Families, Belong, EMPOWER, OCOK, Saint Francis).

## National Accreditation

Refuge House is **not currently accredited by a national accrediting body**. The agency operates under HHSC Child Care Regulation licensure (above) and **aligns its Continuous Quality Improvement program with Council on Accreditation (COA) standards** (see FC-CQI-01 Continuous Quality Improvement Policy). National accreditation is encouraged but not required by the SSCC networks; pursuit of COA accreditation may be considered as the agency scales.
